One of the new possibilities in StreamServe 5.6 is that you can now call Java classes directly from within a StreamServe Script. • Variables and memory consumption

I've seen a few support cases over the years related to memory consumption and performance. We usually look at factors such as environment (i/o, memory, quotas, OS version, memory allocation, etc.) and project configuration (job management, parallelism, thread configuration, collection modes, etc.) when trying to analyze issues. A very common mistake is that users collect much more data than they actually need to process the input. This leads to unnecessary memory usage and can slow down processing as well as waste precious memory that can be put to better usage. Not only is memory wasted, but allocating and deallocating memory is a factor that affects throughput, so spending a few minutes analyzing your memory usage can be well worth it.
