    Hi Experts,

In Storyteller while designing a PDF output page, how can we make sure that the static content in the page does not repeat to the next pages when we set the Page Setting to "Once or more" from "Exact count- 1".

How can we ensure only the dynamic content in the table block allows its dimension to increase (initial setting is 3 lines of input as defined in the story frame) thereby letting the content below it to slide down, hence allowing which ever content is left beneath it only to flow to the next page.

    Thank you.

    Sreenivas,

You can put static content into StoryFrame.

    Hi Sreenivas,

Story Frame is for repeating data in general. So content can flow to next page. In your design remove the static part from the story frame and place it on the Page.

    For example

    1) Page 1  ( Exact Count) :  Static + Story Frame

    2) Page 2 (Repetable) :  Story Frame.

    Hi Yogesh

according to your suggestion , keeping the Static part in the page and Dynamic part in the story frame will cause the dynamic part split and flow across different pages, but the static part wont move from its place.

    Body1 Block (table)

    Static Text

    Body2 Block(table)

    ...

if i want the static text to move down based on the number of rows being input to Body1 block ,how can i achieve this.

    thanks,

    Sreenivas

    Hi Yogesh,

The approach actually worked for me.

For suppose, i do not have a page 2 in my storyteller . But i need the content in the page 1 to overflow to page 2 if the content cannot be fit in page 1, what sort of setting i should use in the storyteller and on which element ?

I have tried playing with the page setting adjusting the layout resize modes. I could not find a proper solution.

    Please advice.

    thank you.

    Hi Yogesh,

I have tried making the page as repeating & once or more. If i try to append more input into the table to check whether its flowing into the next page or not, the additional content just gets truncated instead of flowing to next page.

I have set the last table property to "paragraph". Ofcourse all the tables are set to "paragraph".

it consumes the entire space of the page 1 to fit in whatever content is coming and the extra lines of the table are not flowing.

Any suggestions on what i might have missed ?

    thank you.

    Hi

You can apply one property allow content to split. Row level.
