    Hi,

Is there a way to make the e-mail subject within the Document definition variable or depending on some rule?

At this moment I need to create a different document definition for each document variation, just because they need different e-mail subjects. If they e-mail subject can be made dependent on the metadata, the number of document definitions will be reduced 10 times.

An alternative is to use a table with e-mail subjects, but this is of course not as nice as having it maintained inside the document definition.

I'm using version 5.6.1 but will move to 5.6.2

    Regards,

    Peter

Got it solved with the help of Herbert van Till.

Used a template engine template to read back a section.

    Hello Peter,

You can use varibales in Subject as well. Define Varible what you want and give it on Runtime Configuration of your output connector.

    Thanks!!!

    Hi Satish,

    Thank you for your suggestion

The subject has to be set in the document definition from Composition Center, in which you cannot set variables.

    Regards,
    Peter
