    Hello guys

I am getting the error (Unrecognized incoming event) but I cannot understand why as I think I have everything in place as regards StreamOUT, StreamIN and the DSC file.

Any ideas what I may be missing please?

    Screenshots are attached.

After writing this, I have discovered that if I remove $v_path_PDF and $v_path_CSV from StreamOUT and StreamIN (but NOT from the Description file), the .csv file is created.

    thanks

    Aristar

In your Record in the StreamOut you need to add a Static Text object and set the value to EMAIL, then you will get that in your csv file.

I realised that I may have misled readers. What I meant is that my project is still not working, an empty csv file is created and nothing happens.

    Hi,

Dont really understand. The description file looks good, and it should trigger an EMAIL event, which it seems to do i guess? But the StreamOUT is another event? And you use variables of the fields, where are these specified? How does the incoming file look? Can you send a log that shows the whats going on when you run the job?

    Regards,
    Christofer

    Hi Christofer

the log is as follows but it is not really very informative:

    1118 162132 (3175) 0 Server: Started.

    1118 162140 (0506) 0 directoryscanner/1.0: IN\*.xml found:  IN\P3C_38990430.XML

    1118 165002 (1155) 0 in before BillCSV StreamOUT v_user_email = aristar.borg@go.com.mt

    1118 165002 (1155) 0 in before BillCSV StreamOUT v_path_PDF = ..\DEV\OUT\Internal_Email\P3C_38990430.pdf 1118 165002 (1155) 0 in before BillCSV StreamOUT v_path_CSV = ..\DEV\IN\CSV\P3C_38990430.csv 1118 165002 (1155) 0 in after BillCSV StreamOUT v_user_email = aristar.borg@go.com.mt 1118 165002 (1155) 0 in after BillCSV StreamOUT v_path_PDF = ..\DEV\OUT\Internal_Email\P3C_38990430.pdf 1118 165002 (1155) 0 in after BillCSV StreamOUT v_path_CSV = ..\DEV\IN\CSV\P3C_38990430.csv

    1118 162142 (0506) 0 directoryscanner/1.0: IN\CSV\*.csv found:  IN\CSV\P3C_38990430.csv

    1118 162142 (4554) 1 Unrecognized incoming event:aristar.borg@go.com.mt 1118 162142 (4290) 0 StrsID completed successfully (StrsID):19248 1118 162142 (4290) 0 StrsID completed successfully (StrsID):19253

I have realised that the CHRSEP in my .dsc file was a "," while the delimeters after each field were ";". I corrected that but still the same error is given.

I am exploring all avenues here but is it something trivial such as I have to put a $ in front of the variables in the StreamIN and StreamOUT, or something like that?

Also, it seems like I have some sort of link missing between the StreamOUT and the StreamIN as the logging in the script of the EMAIL StreamIN is not output.

    thanks

    Aristar

    Hi,

It seems you have a loop project, where you recieve an XML, extract the variables and create a csv file, and that the csv file doesnt work when processing it. Correct? So the StreamOut is in the first message and the StreamIn and description file is in the second?

When you create a StreamOut you need to have a trigger on that file as well. In your description file you have set EMAIL but in your csv file you dont have that trigger as far as i can see. You want your StreamOut to create something like this: EMAIL;v_user_email;v_path_PDF;v_path_CSV. Then your StreamIn might work.

Also, set the log to be higher and add wsin log to see more about whats going on.

    Regards,
    Christofer

    Hi Christofer

correct that is what I am trying to do and that is what I want (EMAIL;v_user_email;v_path_PDF;v_path_CSV) but cannot create the csv.

So how do I set the trigger please?

    thanks
