    Hi,

Anyone know of a good way to monitor StreamServe applications and send out an email (or something similar) if an application goes down?

The built in functionality of Surveillance of applications is very good, restarting an application if the Preferred State changes, but there would still be a benefit to also be able to send out notifications even if the application is restarted successfully.

If you get, for example, an out-of-memory error while processing, the application goes down and will be restarted by the surveillance functionality via Management Gateway Nanny, but you would still need some manual handling of that job since it hasnt been processed correctly.

Anyone have any ideas on how to send notifications when an application goes down erroneously?

    Regards,
    Christofer

If the organization has SCOM (System Center Operations Manager ) I would have a chat with the SCOM manager ;-)
